Call For Me · In development for iPhone

It makes the call. You read the answer.

Call For Me phones a restaurant, a shop or an office for you, asks what you need, and hands back a short card. Here’s one call, start to finish.

    Place the call

Search a business by name, pick a contact or type a number. Write what you want in plain English. Details are used only if they ask, never read out.

  2. 0:02Dialling

    LiveRinging… Rosa’s Trattoria

Now, in an hour, or when they open. The call runs in the cloud, so you can lock your phone. Amber means live; nothing else in the app is amber.

  3. 0:09The phone menu

“For reservations, press two.” Pressed 2

It works through a recorded menu to reach a person, and the result says it did.

  4. 0:21What it asked

Call For MeHi, quick question. Do you have high chairs? And do you take walk-ins on Thursday evenings?

Ordinary questions don’t need a name, so it doesn’t give one.

  5. 0:29What they said

Rosa’sWe’ve got high chairs, yeah. Walk-ins are fine before seven, it gets busy after. Want me to just put you down for seven?

You can watch both sides as it happens, listen in, send it a correction, or have it ring you and put you on the line.

  6. 0:34It checks with you

    Waiting on you

They can book a table for four at 7:00 on Thursday. Book it?

    Yes, go ahead

It’s holding the line. If you don’t answer, it won’t accept.

Anything you didn’t ask for, it asks you first.

A short card instead of a recording: the answer, what was booked, why the call ended and whether anything needs a follow-up. A notification brings it to your Lock Screen.

How hard should it push?

The push level is a hard limit, not a suggestion to the AI. It’s counted on every turn, and the result card names the rule that ended the call.

Rules it keeps on your behalf

Never claims to be you
Calling for someone is normal. Pretending to be them, from their number, isn’t.
Honest when asked
If someone asks whether it’s an AI, it says yes and carries on. Turn on “Say it is an AI” to have it say so at the start.
Your name only when needed
A booking goes under your name; an ordinary question doesn’t need it. Or keep your name out of it entirely.
Voicemail, your way
Hang up, leave a message, or leave your number. You pick before it dials.

Questions

When can I get it?

Call For Me is in development for iPhone. It isn’t on the App Store yet, and there’s no price to announce.

Whose number does the call come from?

The call is placed from the cloud, because iPhone apps can’t speak into a normal phone call. It can show your own number as the caller ID, so if they ring back, they reach you.

Does it pretend to be me?

No. It calls for you, never as you. It uses your name only when something has to go under a name, like a booking. If someone asks whether they’re talking to an AI, it says yes, and a setting makes it say so up front.

What if a machine answers?

You choose before the call: hang up and tell you, leave a short message, or leave your number and ask them to call back.

Do I have to keep the app open?

No. The call runs in the cloud from the moment it’s placed. Lock your phone and a notification brings the answer when it hangs up.

Can it ask more than one place?

Yes. Add another place and it works down the list, one call at a time, or tap Ask somewhere else on a result.
