AuxCircle

AuxCircle privacy policy

Effective October 26, 2026

AuxCircle lets you share songs with a few people. To do that it has to keep your name, your circles and what you share on our server. This page lists exactly what that is, who can see it, and how to remove it. There are no analytics, no ads, and we never read your contacts.

Your account

You sign in with Apple. Apple gives us an identifier that is unique to AuxCircle, and, the first time only, the name you choose to share. We use that name to make your display name and a handle, which you can change in your profile. If Apple passes us an email address we do not store it. There is no password, phone number or profile photo.

What we store

  • Your profile: display name and handle.
  • Your circles: the circles you create or join, and who is in them.
  • What you share: each song link you post, the song's title, artist and artwork link, and any note you add.
  • Reactions and comments you leave on posts, and which posts you have seen, so the app can show who has listened.
  • Invite links you create. Each expires after 7 days or 20 uses, and making a new one cancels the old one.
  • A notification token, if you allow notifications, so we can tell you when someone in a circle shares a song.
  • Your settings.

Everything you post is visible only to the members of that circle. AuxCircle has no public profiles, feed or search.

Who else is involved

  • Hosting. Our server and database run on Vercel and Neon, who store this data on our behalf and use it for nothing else.
  • Music services. To show a song's title and artwork, we look up the link you shared with Spotify, Apple, YouTube, SoundCloud or Deezer. Only the link is sent. When you play a song, the player is provided by that service and their privacy policy applies.
  • Notifications are delivered by Apple. A notification shows the sharer's name and the song title.
  • App updates. The app asks Expo's update service whether newer content is available. That request carries the app version and platform, nothing about you.

We never sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to profile you.

Contacts and invites

AuxCircle never reads your address book. You invite people by sending a link from your iPhone's share sheet to whoever you choose.

Leaving and deleting

You can leave a circle at any time, and the creator of a circle can remove members. Posts and comments you delete are hidden straight away. To delete your account and everything linked to it, email support@oakandlever.com from the app's Settings or with your handle, and we will delete it within 30 days.

Signing out removes your sign-in and the copy of your circles stored on that iPhone.

What we don't do

  • No analytics or tracking of how you use the app.
  • No advertising.
  • No access to your contacts, photos or music library.

Children

AuxCircle is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete the account.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
